Because of our lustrum, the 65th edition, we have found the young violin/cello maker Julian van Kempen from Maassluis willing to give a demonstration of his work on Monday February 24 before the first recital session, at 12.30 pm. This demonstration will also take place in the Lepelaarzaal of Theater Koninghof. For the young string players and other interested parties an excellent opportunity to view this beautiful craft up close and to ask questions to Julian van Kempen.
The board has also found renowned concert pianist Hans Eijsackers willing to give a masterclass to talented pianists on Saturday March 1 before the final concert of the prize winners. These pianists will be designated by the jury during the recital days as encouragement. This masterclass will be given at 12.30 pm in the Groote Kerk in Maassluis. You are most welcome to attend this masterclass.
